Personal streaming services
Why Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube will not protect your business.
A paid personal subscription is not the same thing as business playback permission. These official terms are useful when staff ask why the venue cannot just use a familiar app.
Spotify
Spotify is a personal listening service. Business playback needs a separate commercial setup rather than a personal subscription.

Common licensing questions in Denmark.
Do I need a KODA or Gramex licence if I use Sonosfera?
For music in the Sonosfera catalogue: no. With an active plan, your Sonosfera subscription is your licence for our music. Sonosfera music is owned by Sonosfera and is not registered with KODA or Gramex or any other collecting society. Other music you play (radio, TV, Spotify, live music) still needs your KODA or Gramex licence.
What do I show if Koda or Gramex contacts me?
Show proof of your active plan and, for an eligible paid account, Sonosfera’s certificate for the catalogue and your premises. Send the enquiry to Sonosfera if they ask for more information.
Can I get an invoice with my CVR number, and how do I pay?
Enter your company name and VAT number at checkout and download the invoice for your bookkeeper from Billing. Cards are accepted; any other payment methods appear at checkout.
Is there a contract, and how do I cancel?
The plan follows the terms. The monthly plan can be cancelled in Billing with access to the end of the period; on the annual plan you can turn off renewal while the paid period continues.
Does it work with my speakers?
Sonosfera plays in the browser on the device connected to your system. Choose Bluetooth or AirPlay as the audio output on the device if your equipment supports it.
Can I trust a supplier based outside Denmark?
Read the terms before you buy. After payment you can download your invoices and, for an eligible paid account, the certificate for your premises from your account.
What does the Sonosfera certificate show?
It names your business and premises, the period covered and Sonosfera catalogue playback under your active plan. Radio, other streaming services, DJs and live music are not covered and follow your local licensing rules.
