Question 1

Do I need a SACERAU licence if I use Sonosfera?

Accepted Answer

For music in the Sonosfera catalogue: no. With an active plan, your Sonosfera subscription is your licence for our music. Sonosfera music is owned by Sonosfera and is not registered with SACERAU or any other collecting society. Other music you play (radio, TV, Spotify, live music) still needs your SACERAU licence.

Question 2

What do I show if someone asks about the music?

Accepted Answer

Show the Sonosfera certificate for your premises and the invoices for the period you played Sonosfera music. The certificate covers the Sonosfera catalogue only; other music sources are assessed separately.

Question 3

Can I get an invoice for my accountant?

Accepted Answer

Download invoices and receipts from Billing, and enter your business name and tax number at checkout where the field is offered. If you need a specific Egyptian invoice format, check it with your accountant before buying.

Question 4

How do I pay and cancel?

Accepted Answer

Payment runs through Stripe in US dollars, and the available payment methods appear before you confirm. Cancelling in Billing stops future charges; access continues to the end of the paid period.

Question 5

Does Sonosfera work with my speakers?

Accepted Answer

Open Sonosfera on a phone, tablet or computer and connect the device to your venue sound system. Test the connection before you pay.

Question 6

What happens when my 14-day trial ends?

Accepted Answer

Playback pauses until you choose a plan; nothing is deleted. Your account, zones, business profile and music preferences are all kept, so if you upgrade later you pick up exactly where you left off. The trial takes no card, so you'll never be charged automatically.

Question 7

How do I cancel?

Accepted Answer

Any time, in a couple of clicks: Settings → Billing → Cancel membership. You keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for — no calls, no forms. Paid-upfront multi-year plans run to the end of their agreed term; the pricing page sets out their terms.

Question 8

What equipment do I need?

Accepted Answer

Any internet-connected device works: computer, tablet, smart TV, or dedicated media player. Just connect to your existing sound system.

Question 9

Can I use it across multiple locations?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Business plans support multi-location management from a single dashboard, perfect for chains and franchises.

Question 10

What can't Sonosfera do?

Accepted Answer

You won't find chart hits or specific artists. That's a licensing limitation, not a choice. But you can request the types of music, moods, and genres you want, and your input directly shapes what gets added. Sonosfera is for businesses who want curated catalogue playback that runs itself.

Question 11

What happens if my internet drops mid-service?

Accepted Answer

The track that's already playing keeps going from its buffer, and playback resumes automatically once your connection comes back. After a longer outage you may need to tap play once. Music isn't stored offline, so you'll need a working connection for continuous all-day playback.

Question 12

Can my staff control the music from their phone?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Sign in to your Sonosfera account in any phone browser and the dashboard doubles as a remote: play or pause each zone, skip tracks, switch the vibe, and adjust the volume, all while the music keeps playing on the device connected to your speakers.

Question 13

Is the music good enough for my business?

Accepted Answer

Every track is original music owned by Sonosfera, made specifically for commercial spaces. It's designed to create atmosphere, not demand attention, which is exactly what background music should do. Tap play on the sample earlier to judge for yourself.
